    Dallas Makerspace hosts an intro to blacksmithing about every 2 weeks. I'm about to head out there and see what its about. Its an interest I have had for a while. I have a few tools and planning to by a large anvil from a widow friend.



    Over near 35 & Walnut Hill.

    Description
    Learn to bend metal to your will with a hammer and fire, or just warm yourself around our open forge and friendship.

    There is a $10 materials fee per student.

        I just got back. Pretty cool. About 12 students showed up. They taught us how to forge a nail, then you can make whatever you want. It was a lot harder than it looks, but it sure is addicting. You grow a new found respect for what it must have been like to make every nail you would need. They do it about every 2 weeks. I may go again with plans to make something worthwhile. One guy was making a hatchet out of a railroad spike.
