My answer is you're asking me a question that doesn't have anything to do with what I'm talking about, and once again just repeating the word Constitution over and over again as if I've made some statement to the legality of what they are doing.

Actually, it does have something to do with the conversation. If they have the right to open carry and open carry, not only are they not breaking a law, they are acting morally correct as failure to exercise a right is equal to giving that right away.

That's a fantastic bit of perfect world thinking. These idiots don't care about gun rights, it's just what they've found to get some attention. If it wasn't this they'd be jerking themselves off to Blackfish or anything else if they thought they could get some publicity out of it. They're like a bunch of reality TV dipshits without a reality TV show. I'm sure that is probably their endgame.

It's a civil right to be armed and if the constitution is incorporated, no state or city may impose any gun legislation infringing n the right to keep and bear arms.
I appreciate the spirit of your argument, but all this does is further reinforce negative stereotypes about gun owners.

And, like all civil rights, when you actually try to exercise them for the first time, you hear this argument. "Why didn't that old lady just sit at the back of the bus? Hell, why do we need an amendment against quartering troops against your will? You shouldn't mind a search if you have nothing to hide."

All of those are arguments against their perspective civil rights and, had they taken the "I may make others look bad if I exercise this right" theory, no advancement would have been made.

Jim, you can't have incorporation when you want it, and don't when you don't. It either always applies or it never applies.....

You (and they) are not Rosa Parks, and the comparison is an invalid one. She was raising the profile of discriminatory laws and practices, while these tool bags are not being discriminated against in the first place. What's worse about the comparison is, she was polite as can be, as were most other protesters (the lunch counter sit-in crowd is another great example), while these open carry guys are ill-mannered and confrontational. They are going to get the right to open carry long guns taken away. This is exactly what happened in California.
