How long before the chicks fly from the nest? A pair of doves started making a nest and laid her/their eggs the week of April 15th. It was too late for me to shoo them away and I didn't want to disturb them, but I'm having a cookout/party this weekend and they won't leave (the chicks). They are big enough to fly, so I don't see why they haven't left yet.

Thoughts and I'm not killing them, eating them or giving them to my cat...

Spray windex on the nest. I did that at my Bro-in-law's house, the birds never came back. Not sure if they flew away and died, but the nest remained empty!
