  • No power until tomorrow night

The storm killed the power at my house and they're saying it'll be 6:00 pm on Tuesday before it's back.

Even with my little pocket computer I feel like it's pioneer days over here. Any idea how long food will last in the fridge?

Keep the door close, should hold the cool in like a cooler will.

That sounds way too intelligent. I'm more of a victim of circumstance kind of guy. All I know is, the zombie apocalypse is going to be damned inconvenient.

The first few hours won't be bad, but once the battery runs out on my phone, it's going to all be straight down the fucking gutter.

Until gas or battery is gone. POS Dodge and grotesque fuel consumption. I may jack a TDI or Hybrid when the shit hits the fan.

Just make sure to manually open the garage door if you start the car to charge it......pioneers never had to do that!

I have a 3000 watt power inverter you can borrow if you want to pick it up here in garland. We went almost 4 days during the ice storm and it wasn't fun at all.

The fridge will stay cool at least 24 hours if you don't open it. Do you need to borrow a generator? I have a 7500 w one that has 2 hours on it

Last time power went out I roughed it for 3 days using just my normal prep stuff, hooking my CPAP and laptop and router to my backup batteries. I got tired of a 50 degree house (when the ice knocked power out) so I picked up the largest generator Walmart had.
