  • 3 day get-away..

What are some good suggestions for a cool place to go for a few days with the wife and kid? Preferably somewhere within driving distance.

Depending on how old your kid is and if you're in to camping; crater of diamonds state park in Arkansas was a pretty cool getaway for me and the kids.

He is 1. Soo... I just might drop him off at the parents, mainly just want my wife to have a good time, she prolly wouldn't like camping at all.

Whats there to do, i was thinking of heading to the hill country, she loves water parks, so maybe schlitterbaughn, and then gruene hall, and some shopping the next day at the outlet malls, and eat at some cool places along the way.

That's the ticket. Eat at the grist mill in Gruene.

See Shamu in SA and hit up the river at night. Hit New Braunfels on your way back.
