I'm not sure what your question was. Credit card companies only report once a month so you can rinse and repeat each month

X2 not to mention you have far more protection with a credit card vs a debit card

If the balance is $2000 this month and $0 next month, is that going to make an instant change on my report? It sounded like you were saying it was bad to pay when the statement is cut, but wouldn't it then fix itself the following month? Maybe I'm missing something in what you said. Not really understanding the statement cut thing.

I honestly don't pay any attention to my due dates. For the past year or two, I just go into all of my accounts online every two weeks and make payments significantly higher than the minimum payment that would normally be due each month.

It would make an instant change. Utilization has no memory meaning it is only factored as to what is currently reported.

It would fix itself the next month if no additional charges were made on it but if you use it for daily purchases, you would be back to where you were the next month

I have all my cards on auto pay. It automatically pays the whole statement balance on the due date. You can customize the amount any way you want.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I have an 1864 credit score. I applied for a 0% loan on a new helicopter, and they wanted to know what my DFWM score was!! WTF?

I also haven't had a credit card, auto or home loan in years. I thought bills were on your credit score but I guess only time they report is if you are late.
It sounds like you also don't have a credit history either. Have you ever financed anything? I can only speak from my experience which includes doing everything I said above and successfully financing a car or something. To bad your not a baller like the rest of us dude.

Ya, but I just prefer to pay on my own schedule and the amount I pay changes based on what else I have going on. I'm not talking about paying the same card in full every month. I'm talking about paying my debts down in big chunks until they are gone, and then not using them again. Becoming debt free has become a goal and kind of a game for me now that I see the end in sight. But I also want to keep my credit score as high as possible.
