My mom and dad were married after 3 months. Been together 36 years... So pretty damned serious for the right people. I would go to the graduation, mostly because I hate funerals. I hate funerals because it's 10% remembering the person that died, 90% a preacher pushing his agenda, or at least it's been that way for the ones that I attended.

A much different time and a whole different world now. But congrats to your parents.

I would go to the graduation. The boss' family wouldn't be upset that someone that never knew the dad didn't show up.

Graduation. My best friends mother died last week and the funeral is Monday and I am not going. I didn't know her well, only met her a couple times and I just cant stand people crying. I would prefer to be at work.
