Here is my train of thought on that. If I am involved in a shooting fatality where I am in the right and then it starts happening repeatedly, no matter if I'm in the right or not, am I going to be treated as assumed innocent every time after the first?

Make sure they have the donuts with chocolate glaze and those sprinkles on top of them.
Getting complicated but can do. Afterall, I put one of those "I support my local Sheriff's Department" stickers on the truck and am going to be taking ribs and beer to the cop shop as a bit of introduction
That has to be the STUPIDEST thing I have ever seen you post.
It aint freaking Maberry RFD most places anymore. Hell Chicago has 20-30 murders some weekends. I wouldn't think it unusual for some of the cops up there that work the shit holes to have a few shootings...
And on this deal, the ladies own son couldn't talk her out of the gun. It was so out of control HE called the cops... I wasn't there, don't know if the shoot was legit, but I don't care how old you are if you're waving a gun my way, that's on you...
I'm not sure what you mean since the crime rate has been dropping for what? 20 years? Chicago and select areas being exceptions, of course.
Meanwhile all you hear about is how police work is so dangerous and they need a fucking M1 Abrams so they can "go home at night". That is all a load of shit, being a roofer is more dangerous than being a cop. Don't believe me, feel free to look it up. Hell being a cop is not even in the top ten most dangerous professions, last I looked, being a garbage man was more dangerous.

No I don't need any type of APV to get the job done. I can see a big city maybe needing one just in case but really just no.
Now back to the other remark. Whens the last time a roofers nail gun attacked him? I have heard the truck driver, clerk, roofer, trash man, etc. remarks and I just laugh. The difference between Joe truck driver and your local cop is no one is trying to actively kill your local truck driver. I am actually paid to put myself in harms way and it happens more then you would think. Just because there are a billion(rough estimate) truck drivers on the road everyday, drinking, smoking meth, playing with their lot lizard, whatever, doesn't exactly make that job more dangerous. Now for all the fine outstanding truck drivers on the board I mean no offense. You guys know though there are a lot of sketchy truck drivers. To liken getting in a truck and cruising down the highway in your big rig to policing is crazy.

Any of those professions can say the same thing, they get paid to go into harm's way. It isn't like it matters what the harm is, the statistics don't lie. Now, you can make the case that the reason the job isn't dangerous is because of the training. Or you can make the case that your reason for being in harm's way is more noble. To me both of those are perfectly reasonable. I just refuse to fall for the line of bullshit that stepping out on the streets of America is like being in Baghdad or Afghanistan because it just isn't true. If it was you wouldn't have old men with 50 inch waists and tiny women wearing badges.

Can't argue that. Some places are definitely worse then others though. Going from the asshole of south Dallas to a smaller town has been different that is for sure.
Actually, the only small town cop I know with a double got a quick pass into SWAT, because they viewed it as someone who would pull the trigger when needed.
2 good shoots in about 4 years. It's been about 15 since the last one and I don't think he has drawn his gun since then.

Jason, the issue is that those truck drivers don't have special immunity from laws, excluding them from speeding tickets, seatbelt tickets, and if they beat someone while 'on the clock', they still get charged and it's far easier to fire an asshole trucker than it is a violent cop.
