In before the obligatory "well, the general public doesn't take an oath" bullcrap.

If you ever update your resume, be sure to mention your honorary PHD in missing the point. For fucks sake.

Ouch. Is it common for a deputy to be riding with a state trooper? Where does the revenue go?

Numbers don't compute. I know there are good cops out there, like 6 of them, across the country. My point is, if TWO of those dumb motherfuckers, including officer stupid motherfucker that decided to wake him up, from the driver side, and see the belt being buckled (revenue bitches! They can see you not wearing a seat belt from 300 yards away, but apparently not right there in the open, in front of his face) couldn't figure out that my man was strapped in, then they should both be fired and charges filed rising to a commensurate level to the crime. Officer tractor-pull, who got shut down at the halfway mark to a full pull, should have took a 1/2 second to think "hmm...that's a lot of resistance for a little fella, almost like something is holding him in...like a object that would keep him from ejecting in a collision..." But he didn't, because PD's generally hire the individual that will subjectively ENFORCE rather than be OBJECTIVE view a situation. I understand there are times that demand action, but this one? No so much.

BTW, you're more likely to be executed by a cop than killed by a terrorists, if we're going to play math games.

Matt, you have to recognize the increased wedge between police and citizens. And if you're honest with yourself, you have to know that at some point things are going to escalate, be it situationally or on a broader scale.

This made me laugh. Matt is reasonable, he just sees blue too much.

He may be reasonable but he sounds like a fucking moron every time he represents himself as the spokesperson for dumbass cops. It's fucking terrifying that he is walking around with a badge and a gun and an inferiority complex deeper than the Chicxulub Crater.

I've never had a problem with you, but wow.

Yes, the general population is fucked up, but we don't put the general public in a position of power, we put cops in that position. Cops that are supposed to PROTECT AND SERVE, not maim people for not moving fast enough. If someone in the general public does this, then they go to jail, a cop does it and he might get a paid vacation.

If a general person comes up and tazes me, provided I can stand, I have the right to defend myself. Defend yourself against a cop and at best you go to prison for a long time, at worst you get shot.

Don't sit back and give us the "everyone else is doing it" bullshit, cops are supposed to be better than the general public, so for fucks sake, act like it.

On a different note, why are cops to eager to defend these asshole cops? These guys give the majority of good cops a bad name and make people stop trusting you. You would think that the good cops would want to make an example out of the bad ones, not make fucking excuses for them.

I get pissed every time I hear a story about a car lot that fucked someone over, because the bad apples give us all a bad name.

On the bright side, I think most cops are probably good people. Most of the time Matt is the only one on here acting like a fucking nut; most of the other cops avoid him. Seems like the ratios balance out in real life, too. We've got about 15 regular cops on here. Two or three of those are questionable, one is balls out crazier than Sybil, and the rest that go out and try to actually make a positive difference in peoples lives.

Oh I know. My comment wasn't directed at Matt directly, just the cops that do take that stance. And for the record, I think Matt puts on a show for the board, he is probably a hell of a nice guy in person. Most of the board members that I have met are completely different in person.

Again, I'm the only one that isn't allowed to have a sense of humor or screw around on the board. Just let me be a regular Joe for Christ's sake.

You can't separate personal Matt from professional Matt.

I guess it has something to do with you blending them so expertly, huh? You are the very definition of a cop who never takes off his uniform.
