I renewed my drivers license today and had to give full fingerprints from both hands. I thought that was a little big 'brotherish' and thought unnecessary. wtf!

You could have walked out and renewed for your license on the internet.

When I was was sent renewal in mail it said I couldn't renew online and had to do in person. I didn't have choice it is you do it or we won't renew license
Apparently they don't keep track of fingerprints. Every time I get/renew a clearance and certain background checks I have to pay 10-20 dollars to be printed again. If they kept track of them, I'd not have to pay that right?

Nope, you still have to be printed again. Even if we have people that are on file with JPAS as positive disposition on their SF85 (which they had to submit prints for) they still have to be printed again when doing their SF86. The pay part is on who you are paying. Because on a base MPs do it for free. If a FD258 filled out by the MPs are accepted for NACI I can't see why the State wouldn't recognize them. Hell even NACI accepted me as the 'authority' when doing FD258s for our own employees when I was doing Industrial Security for KBR.

Or maybe they're wanting updated prints in case you've damaged or created any other identifying keys on your fingers from last time?
Ha ha I wouldn't be surprised. Only reason I had a problem with it cause I have never been fingerprinted before and thought if I hadn't done anything then they didn't need it
