We are possibly looking at a low milage used one for the old lady and I'm wondering if there are any odd issues or high maintenance costs that I'm not thinking of. I assume possible timing belt if they use them around 60k.

Good cars. Those don't have any air suspension so you are good. No timing belt they use chains. Other than the intake on them, the 272 motors are good that’s what my wife has, same basic car but we have a C-Class. If you need any help I have worked at MB for 16 years now and have a few contacts.
