Is this a rhetorical question? You already know what he would have done. He would have tased him, and shot his dog. Then mock him while being recorded.

      Out of Control School Boards

It's all about the money. School boards are usually run by rich women or someone who wants an inside to some favor. The way to stop this CRAP is get enough people who pay taxes to band together and not pay the school taxes. Pay the rest on time. Put the money in an interest bearing account so the interest will take care of the penalty when you do have to pay. I talked to a county tax collector, and he said it would take two years for the tax appraisal district to realize that you did not pay. Then, she said, it would take another 2 years to go through the system to evict the home owner. You can pay 5 minutes before your time is up. Now think about this for a minute.......what if the school system had over half of their tax income held up for 4 years ? Think that would bring the milk down ? There would be some tight assholes in the school system.. I think it would be funny, I don't care who you are. The thing is, the board members would suddenly have family obligations that forced them to resign their positions.

It's total fucking bullshit! Bravo to that guy for standing up to them....they apparently would not give him room to speak, so he took it....and he had every right to be heard.

For people who say this kind of reaction is okay, you are the sheep that are exasperating the problem and helping to further squash the right to free speech in this country....shame on you, and shame on that chicken-shit officer.

IMHO, if he would have kept it up - I'd get removing him. Arrested just seems extreme.

Did he not refuse to go with the officer and told the officer "you're going to have to arrest me " ?
Was he not told that he had to wait his turn to talk just like the other people ?
No, he wanted to do things his way and not by the rules. He got what he wanted.

I think you mean "exacerbating." And I completely agree.

Correct - Thank you sir. Funny how IE apparently auto-corrected to that (maybe sensed a bit of my anger on the subject)

And can the officer give the guy an option of following the rules or he will be escorted from the meeting on the second offense...or is that too hard to comprehend for Barney Fife? Getting arrested straight up bullshit.
Common sense and good judgement is a very rare thing with the popo these days.

From what I have read he tried to make an appointment with the principal to discuss his concerns and was told that the principal was not available. If you watch the clip in the second video link when he first speaks to the school board they were not willing to interact with him or answer any of his questions just your 2 minutes are up sit down.

I have been looking to find what authority a school board member has to kick someone out of a meeting for violating a 2 minute rule. This isn’t a law just a rule that school boards and city councils have adopted. If it had been during school time at a school function a school official would have the authority to ask someone who was being disruptive to leave, but at a public meeting after school hours I don’t see how they can make a parent and taxpayer leave unless they are threatening someone.

I have also read where it wasn’t normal for this school to have a police officer at the school board meetings. So it seems like they knew that there were some parents that were upset and called in their private enforcers.

                            Disorderly Conduct

Under New Hampshire’s laws, a person commits the crime of disorderly conduct by:
disrupting business in a public or government facility in a way that disturbs others, or disrupting a lawful meeting or gathering.

In other words, fuck New Hampshire.

In Texas, the Goverment code sets the rules for these types of meetings. I would imagine that NH has something similar. And yes you can get bounced for talking when it's not your turn or being disruptive.
And I'm going to guess you've never been present at a Dallas ISD or Dallas city council meeting when it get's crazy. They have arrested plenty over the years.
And actually most of these types of meetings are just that, The person get's their 2 minutes and they sit down. There is generally no "discussion" back and forth on most topics. So that is "typical". The board "listens", then they take action (vote to change, table it, etc)...
In the end, could they arrest him, yep. It would have been a whole lot better to haul him out into the hall and send him packing for the night rather than hauling him to jail.
Also, the school board is elected, perhaps people should actually turn out when it's time to vote instead of shirking their civic duties. Put people in place that will do a better job.

You're REALLY gonna hate Texas then, cause it's a whole offense on it's own and it's a class B offense..(up to 6 months in jail and 2k fine)...
