As a Las Vegas native, you're going to have near perfect weather this weekend.

That being said, I enjoyed staying at the Cosmo in a Terrace Suite the most last time I was there (there's something really fun about having outdoor space in a resort in Las Vegas). We typically stay at The Palazzo otherwise so a lot of my recommendations revolve around both of those hotels.

You have to do 1 over the top meal when you're there and I recommend any of these; CUT, e, Jaleo, Carnevino, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Holstein's, Bouchon for brunch, B&B, Morels for a patio meal during the evening, Lotus of Siam for some old school Vegas, and Don't Tell Mama in downtown for an awesome chill piano bar.

For more reasonably priced fare (while remaining somewhat fancy schmancy), do the $20.14 3 course lunch at Milos in the Cosmo and do the $50 Charlie Palmer Cut of the Week 3 course meal and unlimited wine at Mandalay Bay for dinner.

We always like to hit Ellis Island for their cheap food and microbrews, at least once or twice.. It's a block east of the strip and has the nice gritty, dirty Vegas feel. Breakfast is good, but their steak deal (not on the menu) is what I usually get.

        Steak Dinner - Ellis Island - 24 hours - $7.99

The Ellis Island steak dinner is served in the Café and requires that you play $1 in any slot machine to get a voucher for the $7.99 price. This dinner includes a 10-ounce filet-cut sirloin, which comes with salad, garlic green beans, choice of potato, and fresh microbrewed beer.

They also have the smallest craps table I have ever played.

Walk next door to Caesar's and see Absinthe...best show in Vegas. FYI, do not sit on the front row.

Take your girl to Mon Am Gabi at Paris Hotel for brunch/bloody marys. Get there early so you can sit outside. Should be awesome weather...you can watch the water fountain show across the street at Bellagio.

Get a cabana at Azure at Palazzo, Venus Pool at Caesar's or Rehab at Hard Rock.

Dinner at L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon at MGM Grande is a must.

Have fun...we will be there in July.

Wet Republic at MGM is another good pool party to check out, We also went to the one at Aria, it was smaller, but still a good time.

BTW... Rent a car and go see the Valley of Fire, Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam and the Shelby Museum.. If you time it right you can do all of that in one day.

Oh, and the car collection at Imperial Palace (across the street from Mirage). And while there (Imperial Palace), eat at Hash Hash a Go Go.

One more.. The Beatles Love show at Mirage is pretty awesome. I have seen it 3 times and would go again.

I forgot to mention absinthe, but will second this. It's hilarious, sexy...but a tad raunchy. Pretty cheap for a show as well.

                    Fremont is also a must.

There is some good karaoke at Ellis Island just off the strip.

                    Serendipity frozen hot chocolate

The buffet at planet Hollywood is the best bargain buffet.

Really great advice. Though, you have to get up pretty early to do all of that in one day.

For me, personally, Shelby American is a *can't miss* as a car fan. A former bf of mine worked there for a couple of years while we were in college, and the really, really excellent cars are in the back warehouse. Never hurts to sweet talk someone to ask to take a peek.

There are also several exotic car rental places on the Strip and most of them will try and charge $500+ for 4 hours with a Ferrari F430 or similar. Ask for an F355 Cabriolet and all of a sudden it's $200 for a whole day. Call a couple of places and play them against each other. It's a blast and we've done it a couple of times on various trips back home to visit family now.

Not car related: The Peppermill. Soooo cheezy Las Vegas but so worth it for the lounge; http://www.peppermilllasvegas.com/#home
