No, pain in and of itself isn't cruel and unusual. Torturing him before you kill him is.

situations like this is where i believe an eye for an eye. I believe if you bring back public hangings and stoning for criminal activity, it will deter some of these idiots. If you steal, i think your hand should be cut off. If i work my ass off for the nice things i have in life, and you steal from me, you deserve to be missing something like i would be.

I wouldnt say torture is accurate. Im not saying keep them alive and make them suffer, Im just saying that passing away peacefully in your sleep isnt punishment that people fear.

This is my opinion 100% . The actual death is the outcome of a punishment that should strike fear in the hearts of those who seek to do wrong . Being dead is our way of making sure they don't do it again . I want them to be afraid to do it in the first place .

Still too easy of punishment. Dropping him in a pit full of poisonous snakes would have been better and less expensive. Watching him scream like a Lil bitch would have been priceless. Then again lighting him on fire then extinguishing him and lighting him up again and again could be fun too

There's a nice island off the coast of brazil. It's full of golden lance head vipers. Every pos like this guy should be shipped there and dropped off they would last a few hrs

Because I think it's cruel. If he's condemned to die, I think it should be quick and painless. Constitutionality aside, I don't think that harsher punishments would deter the people that wind up on death row in the first place. I don't think the final consequences of their actions play too strongly into their decision making prior to or during the act.
