            hy·brid (hī′brĭd)
            n.
            1. Genetics The offspring of genetically dissimilar parents or stock, especially the offspring produced by breeding plants or animals of different varieties, species, or races.

Definition, Synonyms, Translations of hybrid by The Free Dictionary

When you cross breed domestic dogs (Canis familiaris ), you are within the same species; therefore, not creating a hybrid.

your "proof" actually proves you wrong.

do you accept that there are actual hybrids on earth or are you more of a jackalope kinda bro?

I've experienced many of those, but I fear that because they weren't crossed with an oak tree, he wouldn't consider them an actual hybrid

                    • My mom has a shepard mutt i brought home 17 years ago. His only problem ever was when he got into rat poison and shit blood for a few days. He is getting old and slow but still kicking. I have a 7 year old lab mix that kills squirrels and possums ebery chance he gets that only had a skin issue when he was young. The only pure breed dog we ever had was an an English Springer Spaniel when I was growing up. He was smart, but only loyal to my mom. Like overly loyal. He made it to 17. I will probably only rescue mutts from now on though because both of mine are great dogs that are just thankful to have a home.

Not about hybrid vigor. I didn't characterize hybrids at all.

                        • My Dad used to have a little miniature Maltese....little white piss-mop of a dog. Dumb as a box of rocks, snored loud as hell, never really fully became house trained, and worst of all....she would always lay a big shit on the tile right inside my back door when my Dad dropped in for a visit. He took her everywhere with him too. He loved the hell out of that little dog, and unfortunately she died last year at 17...went peaceful in her sleep. Never seen him so tore up (and he even had 2 different wives die on him)

My point to this....well....I don't think I have one LOL....other than to say perhaps even shitty little piss-mops sometimes make good companions.

What sucks is that he lives alone (in his 70's) I can't get him to get a new dog....been trying and he keeps refusing. I think I'm going to just drop one off over there eventually.

I've been to her parents house and an them cleaning drool off the ceiling. They've got rags in every corner of the house.
What Baron said... water outside only. My dogs only drool when we have food at the couch, never at the table. Water outside and wipe their face as they come in the door. We do keep drool rags around though for when they are really hot and panting they may drool some as well. I have 2 of them and the drooling would be my last concern.
