You know what a cracked egg in the carton is a sign of? There was a lot of stress on the carton and one of the eggs had a flaw that was worked on until it cracked. The rest of the carton are probably still having that weight put on them.

My post was based off a cursory glance at various criminal behavior by military personnel in U.S. The point I was making was that you if generalize everyone's behavior to such a degree, everyone becomes corrupt by default. Ipso facto. It seems like a waste of time to get that engrossed in it all.

The FTP crowd (e.g., reddit policestateusa) has become so lost in their zeal that a 10 second blurry upsidedown video is sufficient to indict. The rush to judgement is unsettling. There are legit stories of police misconduct and there also is a lot of bunk.

Solution? Stop calling soldiers domestic terrorists, stop disarming us on post, stop making the military a social experiment. Let us do our job, kill the enemy and stop with the fucking retarded ROE

I was thinking about this too. The other factor to consider is that, generally speaking, military discipline and punishment is pretty severe compared to the civilian side. Whereas police officer discipline and punishment seems to be generally lighter than civilians.

From my perspective anyways.

Hell, I've seen soldiers get a couple weeks of extra duty, loss in rank, and withheld pay for offenses as minor as missing a formation (like showing up late for work in the civilian world).

The general theme that we seem to see with police is desk duty or paid leave, and maybe termination. And that can be for some pretty significant offenses.

And heaven help you if you are caught speeding off post. If cops were confined within the borders of their city (like the military is on post or on deployment), had more oversight (actual oversight) and harsher punishments for bad cops, we may get somewhere.
