Whats the best bang for buck on a used SUV? Needing to get another vehicle and would like to keep it under 15,000. I really like the tahoes and find them all day in around the $6-7000 range but have no clue what kind of milage they are good for. Usually they're in the 140,000+ club on miles and i would assume on their last leg around that? If i can find a nice SUV around $6-7000 that would allow me to keep my two current vehicle that are paid off. So what should i look at and what should i stay away from? Thanks!

My Tahoe has 207,xxx miles on it and going strong; it is a '99. Kind of depends on the size you want. Toyota is probably the best on the market these days; I like my wife's 4runner a lot but it is a little small. I did test drive a Nissan Armada, which has 3rd row seating and is close to Tahoe size and really like it. I looked at the Armada's a while back online and used ones with under 100k were pretty reasonable. Toyota makes a similar sized suv but I don't know what it is called; I looked at them once but they went for more money used. Toyotas seem to hold their value well.I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.

should there be any fear in a tahoe with around 140-150 miles? i like the 4runners a lot and have thought about that too. i saw a brand new dodge journey with incentives and my trade in would put it around $14,000 but i dont know anyone that has one or has driven one.

My last LS truck I bought with 217k. Ac compressor and maintenance were all I had to do.

My 03 Expedition was a great vehicle. Went to 250+ before I had to replace the engine. Resale on them sucks for some reason, but I was more than pleased with the life I got out of it.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

I had a 2001 Durango with the 4.7 v8. It had minor issues over the years. Driveshaft ujoints, a/c line leak and trans speed sensor. Sold it with 140k on the clock. Not bad at all in my book. It was in the family since day one.
I now have a 2004 toyota sequoia 83k miles. No issues yet... These are supposed to be very long lasting SUVs though
I wouldn't mind a tahoe or a burb but every cholo in my neck of the woods drives one. They seem to be reliable as long as you don't mind piston slap.
