I just bought a 12 GT500 at Automax with 6400 miles for 42k. My buddy bought a 2010 from automax 2 weeks later with 7600 miles for 38k.

I traded my 12 Boss for the 12 GT500 cause I cant stand the MT82 tranny.
    Current rides:
    1973 Camaro 350/350
    1991 GMC Sierra Stepside
    2012 Gt500
    2006 Dodge MegaCab 5.9 cummins

Perhaps you would rather have a mid century modern set of wheels.

I've tried finding some old school looking Cragers or slotted mags to no avail.

                I'd take a auto 11+ 5.0.

                I own a 07 GT500.

If I wanted a manual I'd for sure go GT500. I like the 07-09 or the 13-14. You can slap a 13 blower on and with a few other things make 650whp for not much money. You could also find a nice GT and slap a blower on it and make big power. Either or, but I like automatic cars.

I test drove a 2012 GT500 yesterday, Damn I loved that car. To bad they wanted to much for it.
We are going to test drive some 5.0's tomorrow. So far I'm really leaning toward the Shelby.

I bought the 10 and don't regret it at all. I had two different bosses (12 and a 13, then a mt82 13 gt and finally an auto 13 gt. Had manual trans issues with my bosses (gear lock out, pedal sticking, griding gears). Was happy with my auto gt (ran in the 12's totally stock) but then the motor started knocking/ticking at 3k miles and was replaced by ford. After all that decided to try the 5.4 and 6060 in the gt500 and am happy with it so far.

Plus for the money you are going to spend supercharging a 5.0 you could buy the gt500 that has the stronger motor/trans/fuel system etc. That being said I would stay away from the 07-09's gt500s and try an 11-up if you can swing it. 10's are a little cheaper than the 11's but are still iron block, smaller exhaust, hydraulic power steering etc.

I fell in love with the steering in the 12 I drove this weekend. Man it felt so nice.
