For you fellas that wear western boots on a normal basis. I've noticed that Cavenders sells there own brand of exotic boots that are made in Nocona, Texas. Anyone have any experience with there brand of boots?

Fuck a bunch of $500 for boots. Paid $200 for my last pair and thought that was a bit high. I do love them though, after I wore the rubber soles out I took them to a little boot repair place and had them do rubber heals and leather soles. I think they are called Arait Heritage Roughstock or something. They seem to holding up well after 3 years or so.

They are made by montague boot company. They make a lot of "house brand" boots for other places as well. I agree on the quality, at $479 I will spend another $150 and get Lucchese caiman's. Are the Cavender's brand a bad boot, not at all. They are made by the same manufacturer as the Larry Mahan boots that they sell/sold. They were very solid boots for the price. If you are considering exotics, try ostrich as well. It is a very soft and durable skin. As for Lucchese try them on! They fit a little different than any other boot. They have a lot of heel movement that some people just can't adjust to.

I have a pair of Justin smooth ostrich that I have worn every day for 4 years. The skin has held up extremely well, and I have only had to re-sole them once
