My daughter is graduating Texas A&M next month. She has worked for a company in College Station part time for the last year and a half and they are moving her into a full time position when she graduates. Her territory will basically be east of downtown Dallas all the way to Shreveport after 4-5 months of training in Houston. She wants to stay east to be close to east Dallas with easy access to I30 and I20. She also will have a limited budget starting out because she is committed to paying back student loans asap. We went this weekend looking at apartments off 635 between Abrams and Garland Rd. We found a few places that she was happy with the facilities and price but I was not happy with some of what I saw. After reading some online reviews I am really worried about her living in this area by herself. I told her I would subsidize her rent for the 1st year some to help get her into a safer place. I am looking for areas out east that are quieter/safer but also won't break the bank (1bdrm no more than about $775). Any suggestions? I have done a ton of online research but I just don't know the areas enough to know where to focus. Thanks for the help.

I do know that there are some apartments going up in Forney but I don't know when they will be done or what the prices will be like. I was suggesting to rent a room mainly because it is cheaper and she won't be alone more than likely.
