It had to be June or July. My car was stolen in late September.

That would be after I put the 8.8 with 410's in. That was pretty much the last thing I ever did to that car. It did alright as long as I could keep it running. The 302 improved the reliability, but only marginally. It then developed electrical demons. Probably June, too. I bought my dark green 87 hatch on Autodrags after selling my '69 Charger halfway through the month and rarely drove the SVO after I got it.

I had one guy tell me my 87 grand national wasn't a real one cause its a hard top. According to him they only made them with t tops. He bet if I puller the headliner I would see where they welded the roof up. He also owns a wrecking yard lol. I bought a viper gts a few months ago and it gets WAY too much attention. 90 percent of the time it's someone that doesn't know anything about cars. Also everyone tells me stories of how they and everyone they know have outran one sometime in their life. It's also annoying when people are asking me price quotes on paint work and they only need clear coat cause their clear is peeling. I try to explain to them the process in how to properly fix that and it doesn't involve just spraying more clear on the car and they always seem to get irritated. But then again seems like everyone is just trying to get hook ups on everything now a days and don't wanna pay for shit.

hey mark, how much for a hookup price to pain my 1986 hooptie? Whatever color fits best in the ghetto, maybe a lucky charms theme?

I've been told on more than one occasion by supposed "car know-it-alls" that my GN wasn't a real one because mine has a sunroof, because my grille wasn't all black (some people only know of the 87 model), because I have GTA wheels instead of the heavy ass chrome wheels from the 86-87, and laughably because my car has the digital dash.

Better is when someone tells me he knew a guy that had a white, gray, blue, Brown, or burgundy GN. NO.....YOU DON'T DUMBASS.

The GNX “X-RAY” car was created by a man named Rick Hunt. Rick worked for ASC and helped design some of the parts for the real GNX’s and the program. Once the last GNX rolled off …

The GNX Xray started life as a T-type but was converted to a GNX by an employee at ASC before it left the facility, in my eyes that makes as much a GNX as any of them. But the 1982 GN was not black.

Everyday occurrence when out in the factory five. My car draws idiots out of the woodwork! It also chaps my ass when I get the statement along the lines of "Oh your parents give it to you" or "Your parents must be rich". Actually jack ass I paid every penny and took me 3 years to build myself.

Thats not a Grand National. Thats a modded T-Type or Turbo T

                              1982 GN
That would be an 82 Regal with the Grand National package...one of the 215 or so known to exist. Its not exactly the same thing as an 84-87...and you know it.
