I love my stepfather. He is the one who raised me, taught me about cars, forced me to learn some hard lessons about automobiles and got me into my first Mustang. He had a 280Z, full roll cage, tubbed rear, 350sbc etc back in the 80's before it was cool. BUT, I cannot talk to him about my Cobra. I have passed him so far in what I know now and what he used to know and knows now. He just doesn't get it or understand why I have done some of the things I have done. Is he stupid? No. He just doesn't know what he doesn't know.Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

It's funny how they all think "4-bolt mains" instantly make it faster. I've called a number of guys out in the past, just asking them....do you know what 4-bolt mains are and what they are really for? The best answer I can remember was a guy that told me that 4-bolt mains make the rods extend longer so that it makes it like a stroker.

From my experience there is a tier system to car guys you can safely talk to people a tier or two higher as long as you are trying to learn and they know that. You can even show them something new from time to time. When you talk to anyone further than a tier or two lower the gap is to big and it ends up just pissing me off that they don't get it.Half of history is hiding the past.
