  • What are my options with new tires that don't fit?

Just got wheels and tires from American muscle, from what all I read the front could go up to 255/40-17, which is what I got. Bolted them up yesterday, drove to work this morning, and they rub in too many places for my peace of mind.

I'm sure AM won't take them back, anyone know what other options I'd have as far as swapping them out fairly quickly? Don't want to wait too long since they are just a day old. Need to step down to like a 245/40 or so.

    They are nitto NT555's.

I thought I heard the other day that Discount will give you a good credit on tires that you "trade in" if they have good tread left. That's an option if you can't sell them on craigslist or something.

Yikes, I don't know if you can return them now. I had NTB test for three different sizes for my truck recently until we got the perfect size that didn't rub.

They rub when I hit the brakes. Car is lowered, and I don't want to get rid of the inner fender liner because my wiring harness has been ran through the top side of the fender.

I have my wheels mounted and balanced on 245's , you are more than welcome to come check em out to see if they willl fit vs the 255- They are off the car now ( 4 lug )

( i also have spacers if you want to see if thats an option for you )

Just might take you up on that.... I don't think spacers are going to help me, I'm rubbing on the fender lip and I don't want to roll the front because I want to keep the fender well liner in place. On the driver side I have the wiring harness ran through the fender, and on the passenger side I have my air intake.

I think spacers will push the wheels out, causing me to rub more on the fender lip.
