Insurance question..

One of my co workers was in an accident. It was the other guys fault and he had insurance but his insurance said they wont cover it because the car that was hit was not covered.

This is what happened. He was driving and the guy pulled out in front of him in a truck pulling a car (with a rope) behind him. The truck passed him but my guy struck the car that was being pulled. and the insurance says that the car being pulled was not covered so they wont pay.(But the truck was covered)


SHould they have to pay?

Tell the coworker to file under his uninsured motorist and let his ins co worry about who to sue.

Seems the car was in tow. The vechicle doing the towing would be responsible.

Not to be an ass (okay, maybe to be one), but why feedback from the village idiots here? You pay an insurance agent for a reason. If you don't trust their professional advice, then change agents. If you want opinions, then there are plenty here. Mine is based on the understanding that anything under tow is under the responsibility of the vehicle doing the towing.
