Thanks. Anyone who knows me knows that I had a pretty bad last 4 years. I forgot how painful my life was back in the 90s and I ended it up tearing it back down again after being clean 10 years.
I have busted my ass for the last 6 months and it shows in all areas of my life. I have been employed for 4 months now and on a long enough scale I am sure my work there would be appreciated..... I could be the best cable box repair technician there ever was, or I could supervise people that fix cable boxes, or I could be a manager of the repair dept, or even an account manager, or a branch manager, but I have higher aspirations. I like being the front man representing a company in a technical or leadership capacity.
I actually have been offered 2 jobs in the last 2 months, only to have the offer retracted when they look at my background, the highlight being a possession charge in Phoenix from 4 years ago. I understand company policies completely and it's another life lesson I've had to endure.
It could very well happen again in this case, should they move forward with an offer. The difference may be that I've made an excellent impression with not only the Operations Manager, but the President of the company himself just this morning. And, it's a private company. I am willing to be perfectly honest should the issue arise, and I would have a chance to appeal to the man who can ultimately make the decision.
So, this would be yet another stepping stone on my way back to being a contributor to society, professionally and in all other areas.
If I miss out on this opportunity, I will never give up on seeking a new one. We have a big God and I don't doubt for a minute that there is a spot for me somewhere.Comment
