Cars are already so outrageously priced that there is trouble with sales. But don't worry everyone, you can finance your car with 18 airbags and a back up camera for seven years now.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

My ex wife backed in to someone in our old Murano, that had a back up camera. This won't solve anything.
My new truck didn't come with one, but I'll be adding a camera to it for the sole purpose of hitching trailers.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

I love having the backup camera in the TL, mainly just to be able to get as close as possible to the garage door when parking it in there.
I still look around when using it in public, but it is a nice to have. Making it mandatory is retarded.
I would like to put one on my Suburban, though it is really low on the priority list. It's tough to see through the tinted windows at night. Especially backing out of my driveway since my street is really dark. Maybe if I ever replace the factory stereo I will get one that can add the camera.

You can buy an aftermarket one that replaces your rearview for something like $100.

I think so, but there are likely other options out there as well. I was getting some darker tint last week and the shop sells other car electronic crap and they had a few plug and play rearview mirror back up cameras for various modern cars. Might do some looking around and see what you can find, or maybe even EW knows.
