Once a police officer is convicted of violating the rights of a citizen they get a year in prison. I'm just glad you haven't stooped to their level by making arbitrary unsupported blanket statements.

Returning home from the Keystone ski trip in February, our rental car was trolled by the Kansas police about 1 minute after crossing the state line into Kansas.
4 of us were in a rental car from Texas. The patol car tailed us for about 4-5 miles from behind, then pulled up beside our car, then peeled off and went into the median.
Our car was "clean", though we were carrying some thoroughly washed small glass souvenirs from some interesting garden savy gift shops from Denver and Keystone.
Profiling is occurring on all sides of the Colorado state lines. That is, until those border states decide they can't generate enough revenue from the sidelines of the industry.
They'll just have to pass the laws to get in on the action.

Originally posted by ftp View PostJust another day in the expanding police state in this country. He will get paid, and hopefully that cop gets shot in the face on a random traffic stop.
We are faced with two options. Having the fragmented police agencies like we now have, or have them merge into one police state.
I think that the way we are now is much better than having a police state. The way it is now is so unorganized you have a much better chance of beating the charges.

"The Kent State shootings (also known as the May 4 massacre or the Kent State massacre)occurred at Kent State University in the U.S. city of Kent, Ohio, and involved the shooting of unarmed college students by the Ohio National Guard on Monday, May 4, 1970. The guardsmen fired 67 rounds over a period of 13 seconds, killing four students and wounding nine others, one of whom suffered permanent paralysis.
Some of the students who were shot had been protesting against the Cambodian Campaign, which President Richard Nixon announced during a television address on April 30. Other students who were shot had been walking nearby or observing the protest from a distance."
And before he jumps on that being the National Guard, anyone with the authority to "enforce" whatever they deem the law to be with violence against unarmed populace is not to be trusted. In fact, this is what sparked the "revolution" in Ukraine.
