And if you're the owner, you can say 8 when your store closes.

You can't buy beer on Sundays in Texas??? Fuck that. Liquor stores close at midnight here and open back up at 5am.

You can buy beer, but you have to wait until noon. Confused the shit out of me when I found out when I was buying groceries early one Sunday morning quite a few years back.

In Georgia you can't buy alcohol at all in stores on Sunday. Yet you can go to a bar and drink as much as you want.

I could buy on base, my neighbors would always get me to go get them stuff and throw in a sixer for my troubles. I used to go months without paying for beer.

                    Welcome to the south....

Best part about Hawaii was, I could walk into my local grocery store at 5am after working overnight, pull something off the shelf, and worst I would get was the cashier saying, "Bruddah, you startin' too soon." I would just say "You've got it wrong, I'm starting too late." They would laugh...mumble more in barely coherent pidgin, and ring me up anyway. I could also purchase a car on Sunday, not have to worry about different hours for most businesses on Sunday (unless I went to Laie).

I've never seen liquor not for sale in Louisiana. It's just one big constant party when your not dodging bullets in the big easy.

I liked buying liquor at 2am from Safeway (tomthumb) when I lived in northern Cali.
