  • Where to donate clothes and household items?

I have boxes of clothes, pots, pans, etc I want to donate. I don't want to donate to some place where some stupid percentage such as 5% actually makes it to the cause. Located in Arlington. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Find a battered women shelter or church that deals directly with the poor.

My wife runs a non profit that takes items in. She resells then donates to domestic abuse survivors.

My wife is doing the same thing in Stephenville by helping out families who lose everything to fires etc.

It's in Mckinney. That's still up in the air (due to initial establishment costs), but her target is at least 90% with the rest going towards administration, plus items going to the victim, she lets women/kids trying to get on their feet shop for free - she's looking for retail space currently to use thrift as an additional funding wing for the non-profit. It's small and only a few years old, but taking over my house.

Hell no! I don't donate anything to them anymore. There are plenty of other places around.
