I'm with poopnut. I'm 26 as well and going out all the time is very overrated. I guess I realized out much money you blow at the bars, the risk of driving home, and any other non sense that goes with it. Hell it's Friday night and I'm chilling at a friends house just playing video games.

The hangovers only get worse so save your brain cells, and do something productive with them. I've never been big on the bar scene, though I've definitely drank myself into oblivion a time or two. If I could go back and do it again, I'd probably do a few things different, but having a good time with good friends does have it's place. It's kind of a shame that society dictates that you've gotta get liquored up to do so.

So, I'm transitioning out of the Marine Corps, checking out, turning in gear and what not. I decided this week would be the opportune time to break it off with a couple of girls that I'm seeing so that my time before and as soon as I return to Texas will be drama free.

It's Friday night and I don't feel like going out or drinking myself into oblivion, like most Devil Dogs do every night, not just the weekend... I was actually thinking about going to bed relatively soon, then it hit me...Am I a loser or am I getting old? Suddenly chasing tail and getting hammered become second behind sleep. dude iv been in for 5 1/2 years in the marine corps and after i got back from iraq right around 2 years in i drank every weekend and partied it up after i got back from afghanistan right around 3 years in i didnt go out hardly at all i would have a few beers with some friends and thats about it and the same with everybody i came in save a for a few it just comes with being in and not giving a fuck about going out and getting shit faced it just dosent appeal to me any more now that i have a kid and have been married for almost 5 years

I just turned 24 and don't care to go out all the time. I haven't had the need to go out since I was 22ish. I go out every now and again but I am perfectly content staying home or chilling at someones house. Bar scene is overrated.
