I know in Cedar Hill they have police officers review them to make sure they are good violations.

I had 3 redlights in a row that went yellow at just the right moment so that I had to either get hard on the brakes or go through and take a chance on a redlight ticket. I wasn't speeding either. I was going the speed limit. I swear they must have sensors that trip the light to yellow to increase the chances of producing red light runners.
I can not remember what city but there was much scandal a few years back. Someone got hold of a email referencing them shortening the yellow cycle because the cameras were not generating enough revenue. So much for the whole "our cameras are just there to cut down on accidents " bullshit.

go back and time the lights at a different points of the day and compare to this

Yellow light time standards from the Stop Short Yellow Lights Project. A grassroots effort by the National Motorists Association Foundation to identify interesections with short yellow light times, which are exploited by red-light camera companies to keep violations and profits high.

If the cameras are owned by a private company, what is the penalty for shooting them out?

Finally happened, a $100 collection just showed up on my credit from XEROX SOLUTI, they appear to handle red light tickets. Who do I need to call to get this BS removed?

Usually you can dispute it but i'm sure they have evidence, otherwise you can pay it on the condition they remove it from the credit report.

They have evidence of my aunt from Chihuahua, MX driving my truck through a redlight cam? Guess I need to give them her info.

Same company happened to me. They designated it as a parking ticket to skirt the wording of the law.

I cited this in my dispoute with transunion and it was taken off post-haste.

I tend to think ANYONE in government that authorizes such items should be executed, or at the very least, voted out.
