After shooting a barrett this past weekend, for the first time, I am convinced I need one!

I've had two of these and paid both.

#1 It was very clear that I ran it. I just paid and went on about my day.
#2 Had the Video that you could watch in addition to the pictures... Light went from yellow to red with 3/4 of my truck in the intersection turning right. As much as it pained me to do it I paid the $75 and went on about my day. In my head it came down to how much is my time worth? I.E. sitting in a courtroom and not at work trying to get the stupid thing dismissed. Which, might not even happen.

            I hate those things.

              To Whom it May Concern,

I received a letter claiming I committed a violation of a speeding law in the District of Columbia on 04/21/2012. As per the instructions, I am writing to plead ‘not guilty’ to this charge. Although this option is said to result in this matter going to court; it is my suggestion that the charges simply be dropped. This suggestion comes out of respect for tax payers, and my request that their hard-earned money not be wasted in such proceedings. As there is no evidence of my involvement with this alleged ‘crime’, as well as the fact that I am not granted my 6th amendment right to face my ‘accuser’ (a camera); I see no way the government could prove my guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. I also see find no legal requirement for me to implicate someone else in this process, as it is the government’s responsibility to prove a person’s guilt. It is also my 5th amendment right to remain silent on the matter.

If it is the government’s decision to move forward in this matter, I would request copies of any evidence the prosecution may have of my involvement in the “offense”; as well as, all maintenance records for the camera(s) involved.

              Sincerely,

              Nathan Cox
Unfortunately the ones they issue here do not give you the option to plead anything. If you want to contest the ticket you have to mail back something to schedule a court date. And of course these people probably work something ridiculous like 9-4, which cuts into my work day and gas.

If your vehicle breaks the plane of the intersection before it turns red you didn't run the light. So if you were 3/4 into the intersection, you didn't run it. At least, that's what fort worth police have told me.

And you're the reason we have them I just hope eventually these things die off. Not paying the citations has worked in many different cities.

This is probably the most effective way. Just run up, give it a quick blast and be gone. With a sawzall you have cables to cut through (electrocution bad!) and with a Barrett you have the noise that comes with firing a rifle that size.

Haven't needed to use him in years (knock on wood)....but he used to only charge $50, and he always got them dismissed.
