PLUG has been very good to me the last week and probably climbing at least until Q3 earnings report next week.

Point being, while your returns are better (congrats again), you're doing it by taking on much more risk. I'm glad the game initiated your interest - that's what I like to see. The point isn't to let you hang yourself though - I highly suggest you keep those mutual fund investments at least for the mean time. There's plenty of work to be done when selecting fund managers - I did it for a profession for a while. That might be a better place for you focus your time ... make sure the mutual funds you have are working for you.
Thanks for the advice. If you have any suggestions for companies to look into. I am all ears! Most of my scottrade is in BABA. Second largest position is in PLUG. I have it set to sell if it gets to 6.00. Then I will either hold out for a dip again or may add more BABA. Most seem to think it is going to go way way up from here.

Yes. It seems Jim Cramer, the options guys on CNBC, and most every investment advisor we have, all think it probably "only going up from here". But I figure that BABA is the least risky position in my portfolio right anyway.
I was planning to add TRN a while back. I quit following it during our move and when I did finally check it. It had taken a nasty hit! Not sure why so I have not added any.

I would like to see it back in the 4.50 range to pick up a couple hundred more shares ahead of earnings. It may even go down after earnings and I plan to scoop up some more if that happens. I have no problem hanging onto it. I feel with the deals that they have already signed there will be many more in the years to come.

Ended up getting a few shares of ICPT (172.96) just before the closing bell yesterday. May lose all that I have gained from the previous 3 flips of the company but I figure I would give it a shot. I kept thinking, if I don't buy back in it will be over $200 at the opening bell Monday. Now that I bought back in it will probably be $100 at the opening.
