I got a phone call from the USPS back (finally) saying that its being held in customs, and here is a number you can call.

So apparently its being held in customs. I'm -real- curious as to how long they expected to hold it there before telling either me or the shipper.

      usps is a fucking joke.

They must have screwed up in the wrong direction on mine. I ordered a tool yesterday on amazon around 2pm that I needed to finish fixing my wifes car. I have prime and it estimated delivery to be tuesday. The door bell rang today(yes sunday) and a postal truck is in front of my mail box driving off and the tool I needed was here. It came from Las Vegas according to the shipping label. USPS still shows in transit too. It got here in less than 24 hrs. I'm confuzzed.

Simple explanation. As with any system man has made, there are bound to be errors. A plane can crash, a cop can shoot your dog, you can be wrongly convicted for the 8ball the cop placed on you after shooting your dog, and a .gov backed bureaucracy, or any bureaucracy for that matter, can do something efficient.

Rest easy knowing these things are extremely rare and unlikely to happen to you

          ... twice.

I know they deliver express mail on Sundays. And I think they deliver priority mail or pick up priority mail or they just drive around and act like they are doing something. Not sure.

Priority 2 day, right? Try seven days..
USPS didn't even take acceptance of that package until the 20th. The label was printed on the 17th.

I have to give credit where it's due.
                                Sunday deliveries?
Ordered something from Kentucky on thursday night. USPS truck dropped it off this morning at about 10AM. Pretty surprised.
