If you send something USPS, expect me to hate you

So I have had a package that was shipped from Spain on the 25th of February, sent registered mail, and the only scan has been at NYNY ISC on March 10th. If its been held at customs, its been there for 12 days, and

On USPS I submitted a request for an inquiry, with a promise to get back to me within 24 or at worst 48 hours. Now the same inquiry page is down on the USPS Website and you cant find any email forms to reach them. No response back within 60+ hours. Worthless.


So I tried calling the USPS Customer Service Number. Its all automated. I had to press 0 over a dozen times, it repeatedly asking for information, and repeatedly trying to redirect right back into this bullshit automated system. If i want to speak to a rep, dont make me pull my teeth out to do so. From what I am reading online, my wait time will likely be 1 hour plus. 1 hour plus to be on hold? Are you shitting me?!?

This is incredibly frustrating. I know we have a few folks who work with the USPS, but the USPS is a fucking joke when it comes to service.

As much as you might hate USPS and their shitty tracking system, the cost of shipping stuff over seas through Fedex or UPS is several times more money.

I always make a mental note to avoid ordering from a place if I see their shipping is through USPS.

I ship a lot of small items <1 lb and usps is the most cost effective route. I haven't had any issues to date with speed of delivery or lost packages. Though, their tracking system leaves a LOT to be desired
