They keep double billing me, and the 2nd bill they send has late charges for tolls that have not only been paid but the check has already cleared my bank before they send out the 2nd one.

I loaned my car out to a friend and he told me that he got onto the toll road and said he owed me $1. No problem, called the NTTA to pay it and was told repeatedly that they'd just send me a bill. I told them to take my payment or send me an email refusing it.
Why would anyone take a toll road?I wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

Exactly how do they justify the toll?
Those roads were bought and paid for long ago, and yet we still continue to pay. I don't even care to speculate where that money goes, I don't see it. The only way out is boycott (pfff) or take out the infrastructure. I avoid it as much as possible but those that use it everyday, I would perceive a grievance. Rise up!

We're still dealing with those fucks because they keep sending us bills for unpaid tolls on my wife's tolltag even though the money is coming out of the bank account for them. My wife has had to go down there at least half a dozen times now. Each time they admit their mistake and somehow it still doesn't get fixed.
She even cancelled the original tolltag and got a new one and set it up with a different card for the payments and it continues.
This last time we got a collections notice without ever having received anything in the mail saying we owed anything.
At least they cannot report the debt to the credit agencies because they don't have your SSN. Their 'collections agency' is actually just part of the NTTA. But it's true that now you can't renew your registration if they say you owe them.Atlantic Blue '00 - '03 Cobra motor and TKO600, solid axle, full MM suspension

I went through this shit one time with those fucking idiots and paid them what I owed them. My card expired. Since then I just throw their bullshit about unpaid tolls in the trash. I have a tag, I have a valid credit card and my car is registered properly, if those fucking idiots can't seem to get it right then that is their problem, not mine.
I am still waiting for the class action lawsuit against those pricks and it has to be coming any time.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

I got a bill a few weeks ago that said "second notice" and had additional fees on it (from 2014). I told them they were full of crap, that this was the first notice, and that I always paid them on time. She checks and says the first notice was returned to them by the post office (even though she confirmed my address). She removed the fees.

lmfao. The scary thing is that there are people out there paying these extortionists that don't know better and are afraid they will get in trouble. It seriously infuriates me.

I just got finished getting charges dismissed from a vehicle I sold. I had the bill of sale with both of our information and dates, a copy of the filled out application for title, both DLs, the e-receipt of the DMV's acceptance of notification (the online instant update of ownership change) and email exchanges between me and the new owner (with him admitting fault).
He registered it two weeks after the sale and racked up $27.xx in tolls. The notice came in a month after he registered it. I turned in everything including him admitting it and making excuses not to pay. If it was up to the first person I talked to, I would have taken care of everyone's toll complaints in one afternoon. Thankfully, her supervisor saw through the bullshit.
