WTF happened to Hooters?

Smurfette and I were sitting in Hooters getting some wings a while back and the subject came up that the "visual stimuli" there has vastly decreased in quality the last decade or so.

Hell, some of the girls don't even HAVE "Hooters" to speak of.

What happened to the days when the chicks would bounce on the bouncy balls to show the good patrons their "asset management" skills?

Saw one episode of "Undercover Boss" where a GM made girls who wanted to go home early compete to see who got to leave. They had to eat a spoon full of beans off a plate without using their hands. The "Undercover Boss" fired the GM the next day...its F-in Hooters, sexual innuendos are their thing

I used to go to Hoots and meet with ELVIS, Big Matt, etc back in the day in Lewisville. It wasn't bad at all. Fast forward to 6-8 months ago, I go to the local Hooters in Lewisville with a buddy, the hostess is sitting on top on the hostess stand playing on her phone, doesn't say anything to us until we sit down, and does nothing but say "here's some menus." The menus were dirty and falling apart, there were MAYBE ten customers in the whole store, and neither her or our waitress were cute at all. I suspect it will be gone within 12-18 months. Why? Because Redneck Heaven.

I'd say it is more HR dept's, they are even worse if run by a woman, and more so if the woman has a JD.

I still think it is stupid. I mean, people know the business model, they understand that some "un-professional" things may happen when they ask to be hired by said company...and yet sucking beans off a plate is over the line...

Actually, those girls are all too old to work at any of the breastaurants now. But, there is truth in the above. Hooter's was a pioneer, even if the food sucked. Now you've got breastaurants with better crowds, which attract the better looking waitresses, and better food to boot. They failed to evolve and got left behind.
