I can't say I have any real fear of any insects or animal to speak of, but I did have an encounter with a roach that was pretty exciting. I'll quote from my original post:

"Watching one of the vids in the back porch. I have the window open right behind my LCD screen. All I have is a desk lamp on my desk. I hear something on the window screen, I dismiss it and keep watching. Then I see a flash out of the corner of my eye and I look back at my desk, I dismiss it again. Then all of a sudden I see something black shoot out from under my tablet and it crawls up my arm in literally 1/20th of a second. At this time I realize we have a problem, so I begin to stand up and I realize a gigantic cockroach has just infiltrated my house, ran across my desk and into my shirt in one breathtaking moment. At this time I stand up kick my chair to the other side of the room and start punching my chest, sides, and so forth as it runs around inside my shirt. Finally I smashed it in the middle of my back and I can feel it trying to crawl and drag whats left of itself up to my shoulders. Finally I get my shirt off and toss it in the hamper and wash myself off."

Heights. That's the only time I really fill how mortal I really am. Waves of panic hit me. I can walk up to a rollercoaster and feel ok. As soon as I start walking the stairs up and looking around I start to feel it. I start to see how high up that first hill is and I can't do it.

Yes also this. I use to not give two shits about heights when I was a young. I somehow became a giant bitch after adolescence. It only affects me when I'm on the edge of a very tall building or something where I could just fall off and die.

Putting lights on my roof is a bitch. I have the fear with all heights but it gets exponentially worse the higher I go.

That big wheel at the State Fair is a beating. I get through it for the kids but it is pretty hard on me.

I'm more or less the same way, but attribute it to the fear of falling. I can be in some high up places without issue, but if I can fall, that's when I get nervous.

Yeah see on my roof doesn't bother me one bit. It's the fear of falling to my death like DJ said. One bad step or mistake and I'm dead. I think the worst experience I had was being on top of one of the buildings in downtown Dallas which had like a 12" ledge. I guess I was up about 15 floors and I almost couldn't physically walk to the edge. I kept thinking one gust of wind or one of my dumbass friends tries to scare me and I'm falling long enough to contemplate my life before I bounce off the cement below.

I took this picture up there standing on the edge, I thought I was going to have a panic attack or something, haha.

Its funny though, I really didn't have the issue growing up.
