When we bought our Travel Trailer, we specifically had to sign a "no cool off period" disclosure that once we signed, it was ours.

That was fine for us, we made a killer deal on it and couldn't stand another camping season in our Jayco Pop-up.

So unless he signed a disclosure, he should be able to walk.

Yup on my last 3 Ford trucks all from different dealers the finance guy tried to get me to buy some stupid expensive maintenance/warranty package with tons of bs like that.

I actually called one dealer that did have nitrogen in the tires listed as an add on, I told them they had better take it back out because I wasn't paying for it.

I'm pretty sure there are bank/finance regulations where they can't commence a contract until the customer has taken delivery/accepted the vehicle/equipment.
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

                car

I once took a car back after having it for one day. I noticed an error on the contract after I signed it. Dropped the car off in their lot the next day. Gave the keys to a receptionist and walked out.

They called be back and begged me to come get it. The car was never funded yet through the finance company and when the finance company called me to get it approved I just told them NO.

The dealership had no choice other than to rewrite the contract or just take the car back.

                They rewrote it.

I did something very similar about 15 years ago on an F150.... I don't think I'm allowed to buy a vehicle from them even to this day...

There is no cool off period in Texas when you buy a car. The cool off period is specific to people coming to you to sell you something. When you go to a dealership and buy a car, you willingly bought it. The cool off period is when people are trying to force you to buy something and wont leave your house until you do.

If he hasnt given a down payment, then tell them you cant get the money together. If he did already give the down payment, call the lender and tell them not to fund it as you cant and wont pay for it
