Maybe not in court, but it's proven effective on a traffic stop at the same stop sign before

if needed I would take it to a jury trial and let them see the video, I think I would have a decent chance.

Was it a motorcycle cop? The ones they have in NRH are all pretty much dicks, and they do not give warnings.

First I've heard of having to have knowledge of a law in order to break it.

Wasn't a cycle cop. He was caged.

And Big A...252 bucks for a miner infraction is quite steep if you ask me. And you'd have to be a real dick to write a ticket based on what I did. A rolling stop call was stretching the truth. I wasn't even a mile or 2 per hour coming out of the parking lot. I creeped up to the stop sign, slowed down even more, looked both ways and slowly proceeded. I was in no hurry. He just wanted or thought he was gonna bust me for something else for me being in the motel parking lot.

It's the end of the month. Just today on a 5 mile round trip to wally world I saw 4 people pulled over. I actually saw the cop that pulled me over a couple of weeks ago for expired inspection with somebody on the side of the road.

They gotta get that money to drive those nice Tahoes and have all that fancy equipment somehow. They are the 2nd arm of the IRS.

find a traffic lawyer who will take care of that for you. consider the increased insurance costs and points on your driving record. whatever it costs keep it off your record

So we shouldn't have to stop at stop signs? Where do you draw the line? Can someone just carte blanche blow through a stop sign because they feel like it? Can they "roll through" 10 feet? 5 feet? 5 inches?

I think there should be laws, but the emphasis on community service for Class C Misdemeanors. Think of it like this, lots of taxpayer money would be saved for services done by scofflaws, and it would deter crime more, because people would be less apt to break the law because they wouldn't want to pick up trash on the side of the highways. Its a win/win. It would also keep our cops more honest and less money driven. Just my .02.

If I don't know what it is, I'll go 25'ish until I see a sign that says otherwise. It's not like I cruise around in neighborhoods all the time anymore like Tony, so it doesn't really bother me.
You are correct about Saginaw being 20 mph in residential and Fort Worth is 30mph in residential if not posted, I have to keep reminding the dumb bitch up the street cause she thinks the road is her childrens play ground and tells me to slow down,I have had to call the police to explain this to her which finally shut her up.There are no 20mph Saginaw streets that change to Fort Worth roads so you dont have to worry about unless you are turning on to Hwy 156 or old Decatur but you have to watch out for Watauga Smithfield rd that changes from a Blue Mound to Fort Worth rd (30 to 25) by Fossil Creek liquor because Blue mound cop love sitting up the road and waiting for someone to come speeding down the road to avoid the dreaded Watauga /156/ Blue Mound rd intersection to write a ticket.

He followed the spirit of the law - he slowed, almost to a stop, made sure nobody was coming, and safely crossed the intersection. I think the vast majority of stop signs would be better off as yield signs. If you can see traffic coming from both directions and can safely cross without coming to a complete stop, there's no reason for the stop sign.
