I just finished my morning physical therapy workout and was in the chow hall at Subase Pear Harbor eating breakfast and watching the launch on TV. I was still trying to recovering from injuries earlier the previous year. Watching my fellow servicemen die on TV just seemed to sap my strength.
          Very sad day.

I was a junior in HS, watching it live. It still seems surreal.

sitting on the living room floor with my mom watching it on tv. I was 4 years old.

I was really into space shuttles and space travel back then so it really was a major thing to see one of them explode live on TV

Third grade, Atherton Elementary in Arlington. I know we got to watch it, but I don't remember physically seeing it blow up, only teacher's crying, specifically our music teacher, Mrs. Temple.
