I just remember the sound from the clip:

    "Obviously a major malfunction"

And then there was a period of time when they were looking for the crew cabin in the Atlantic because there is a slight chance that it could have seperated in one piece and they were still alive.

If you ask me though, the Colombia disintegration was worse, with people finding body parts all over Texas. That's crazy shit.

I was a senior at Ennis High.

I was in the library when the news caught our eye. We sat and watched it over and over.

Sophomore year in high school going to a history class. The entire admin building was abandoned. Found everyone in a rec. center watching TV.

And nobody made any jokes about it. Nothing to joke about. It involved the loss of human life and put a major dent in NASA organization both internally and politically.

Yep. I remember one shot Fox had where they found a helmet and zoomed in on the inside of that bitch and I swear to you as well as others who saw it there was blood, skin and hair stuck to it. Fucking nasty.

I know this is in bad taste, only posting because I remember this joke going around in elementary school after this tragedy.

How did NASA learn about Christa McAuliffe's dandruff problem?

They found her head & shoulders.
