The longer this goes on the less they seem to know about where the plane went. Hearing reports that that the thing the Chinese found may not be the plane but a ship.

The debris field found by Chinese satellite imagery is NOT the airplane.

"KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) - Malaysia's civil aviation chief says no signs of the missing Malaysian jetliner have been found at a location where Chinese satellite images have shown what might be plane debris.

Datuk Azharuddin Abdul Rahman says planes searched the location Thursday. "There is nothing. We went there, there is nothing," he told reporters in Kuala Lumpur."

IMO, the only scenario that seems to fit the events is an attempted hijacking. Someone got into the flight deck after that last radio call and gained control of the aircraft only to crash four hours later when they ran out of fuel.

We may never find that plane if that is the case.

I've done a lot of reading up on this situation, and it doesn't make sense that nobody knows what happened an and where the plane went.

Apparently switching of the transponder is akin to turning off your headlights in your car, but keeping your fogs and running lights on all the while your nav is going and your cell phone is on. The downside is that Malaysia is undeveloped and don't have a clue what to do when the transponder stopped.

Also, it is getting pretty obvious that there is information getting withheld. Frost, as crazy as he is, was on to something wondering why the world was sending big guns on alert to work on this missing airplane. If it was a high jack (or failed attempt) then that plane flown into a Japanese city for example, could kill thousands. The world was prepared to find and eliminate the biggest missile for terror yet.

Yea, it's obvious they are holding back, but that should be expected at this point because they are still trying to find the aircraft. There are plenty of justifiable reasons to withhold information at this point.
