So my buddy is looking at buying this car. But he is deployed and I have POA for him. He wants me to go look at/drive it for him. I just NADA'd it and average trade in is 15,075. So I figure 14 is a good starting point to negotiate. But what do you guys think it's worth assuming it isn't raggedy and any little 03-04 cobra specific things that I should be looking for? Yeah, Gotcha there. But is there any way to check for the tick issue with the heads? I have a pretty limited in depth knowledge of the terminators due to me being back in the pushrod era of technology still, lol. Any info is good info.04 2.6 KB'd Cobra!

If it has the "tick", you will know upon warm up.
Make sure it is perfectly cold upon first starting it up. Make sure of this. Pop the hood, touch the engine, then start it up. Look for smoke.
If still IRS drive over bumps to see how the bushings are. I highly suggest a leak down test/compression test on these cars as some are beaten on and they are now pretty old.

They are holding value strong. Just to give you an idea, I paid 18,900 in 08 for a two owner 21k mile car that was mint. Had a few less mods, but it was red, which is more desirable than redfire. The lowest priced cars I always found when looking were yellow, redfire, and black in that order.
I'd have a hard time buying another as they are starting to become overpriced in my eyes. I'd buy the lowest mileage twin screw I could find within budget.

Yeah, so just got back from looking at it. It was such a piece that I'm not even going to go into it. Not to mention, that the title was from a guy who traded it to him, and his name isn't on it because he was planning on getting rid of it and couldn't register it himself due to not having a license for the past 9 YEARS.
