IMO, HR needs to discipline the guy for sending out the email. It's not his place to determine appropriate action within the work place.

Seriously, this is what's wrong in this world. Somebody man up and tell dipshit not to send stupid shit (pun intended) over email. Why put a mark on the guys record or get him fired for this ? If he doesn't get the message, then maybe the boss needs to put a boot in his ass...

That ain't no shit. I get emails all the time sent back. Then I have to scour them to find the one word that it didn't like.

Yep. Our system is tight. But I am surprised that we can send a photo or document outside of our network. The only reasoning is, that there is a record of what we send outside. You can't even plug a memory sticks and hard drives into our system. You can but you can't take from the system and put onto those devices. And if you are not careful, one wrong click will encrypt your external making it usable on our network only.

We had a Site Supervisor send an email last month about shitting in the showers. She even included a photo titled: Unclaimed Feces. I let that one go. This one is not getting a pass though. I had a few conversations yesterday with some people and he might be getting a written. I think had it not have been done already by the Site Supervisor, he would be getting terminated for violating our IT and Email policy.
