That is the downfall there for sure. Gas Mileage blows. But, I don't pay for gas, so I'm not too concerned with it.

        Define decent power?

A stock Allison will hold more than stock. A modified Allison will hold a lot more than stock. Some of the mods are pretty simple and cheap.

No stock tranny will hold when the wick is turned way up. Each brand will need it's own modification done to it.

My brother in law and brother both trashed theirs with just a programmer.

              What programmer?

Like I said each transmission has it's own set of weakness.

The 5R100 is a nice peace and can take most power increases that the engine will handle in stock form. Past that you will find issues.

The 48RE in stock form utilizing a TTVA is a joke at most any power increase.

The Allison has the strongest of all internal parts, but it does suffer from shift timing due to it's design. Shift timing issues are made much worse when your tuner or tune is done improperly.

Damn, my ecoboost F150 out pulls and out runs the 5.0 F150's, I did get 24mpg doing 70 coming back from Austin a few months ago, figured it was a tail wind so it doesn't count.

Touché... But I don't pull much with mine and find the "performance" to be more than adequate for a truck.

I got 23.6mpg coming back from San Antonio last summer running 75-80. I also figured it was a tail wind and don't count it.

Thats when its not in limp mode and also you can't get rid of the shitty sounding exhaust note.

I seriously hate ecoboost f150s (because they are a beast with just a tune only, bastids!).

Why can't they figure out how to make a bench seat slide forward and ly back flat with the back seat to make a twin size bed. They will put a stick on a tailgate but heaven forbid a seat that fully reclines to lie flat

Yea, I think gmc for the most part hit a home run on the 14s interior.

I can get 23.6 at best in my '14 with the 5.3L, air dam removed, leveled, with 34.4" tires on it running 54 mph. I bump to 60 I'm at 18, 65 is 16.9, 70 is 15.7 and 80 is 13.3 all hand calculated
