  • Anyone handle Tilt Wall Construction??

Anyone on here do Tilt Wall construction? We may be looking at going that route rather than a metal construction for our new store.

Those warehouse looking buildings where they lift the walls into place with a crane. At least, that is what I assume.

It's called Tilt wall. There are a lot of construction companies that do it. Our new office headquarters is a high-end tilt-wall and it's been rock solid since we've been here for 5+ year so far. Pretty heavy duty and looks pretty nice too.

This question has been asked before, but I don't recall the responses.
                Perhaps it was in Canada.

Next time you're out where you can see where the roof trusses meet the wall, please marvel at how secure and over-engineered those connections are.

I'll send you the contact info for a GC who I do work for who has done tilt wall before. Just remember, don't ever be under the wall when they're lifting it, anything snaps and you'll be squirted out like toothpaste. It has happened

Where are you planning to build? I can give you a few options for commercial GCs with a lot of tilt wall experience, if you're building in the DFW area.
