Never tried TX, but i do like 1835 whiskey/bourbon or whatever they call it. Its from lewisville.

I got Slider a bottle for his wedding. We took a pull from it right after he said I do - then i apologized for my gift. There's definitely worse out there... the 1835 just comes across a bit young.

I like it quite a bit. A couple ice cubes and its super smooth, probably one of the smoothest I've had so far. I've been on a knob creek 9 barrel 120 proof kick lately. That stuff will knock you off your feet if you aren't careful

I'm not a whiskey drinker but i enjoyed it. I do like Bulliet more though.
