Malone's is a nice and clean dive bar at the edge of downtown.
They just raised prices, not enough to feel like it was justified, but low enough to just feel like you're being nickle'd and dime'd. We've begun to branch out.
Fort Worth is a great town. Lots of choices. You can divide it up by the areas mentioned...
West 7th is full of options and has a high douche quotient. The uniform is tucked-in pink polo shirts, jeans and cowboy boots.
Near Southside (Magnolia) is hipster haven. Uniform there is scarves and beards.
Downtown is more neutral ground. I'd put Flying Saucer at the top of the list there.
You can wear jeans to Bass hall so just about anything goes anywhere as far as dress code.
Near South/Magnolia is more my style. Bearded Lady is good for beer and good, interesting food. The Usual is good for fancy cocktails. Yucatan has some good food and margaritas but is usually pretty busy.
