Since I was talking about 01's all along that would make me right. I understand you being upset about being wrong, DJ. I mean, it's never happened to me before, but I'm sure it's a blow to your ego..

At this point there are far too many mix and matched options to be sure on it. You'd have to get a look at the sticker inside the drivers door jamb. The biggest indicator is the steering wheel. That isn't something most people who are even enthusiasts would go around changing, however in 01, the iL didn't have that wheel as an option. We could seriously do this all day with the way BMW options shit.

Almost every enthusiast owned e38 I've seen in person has been a hodge podge of OEM parts. Even the e36 and e39 guys do that. There is a guy on BF.c desperately looking for powered coupe rear windows right now, I think he is offering like $1500.Ded

I read that yesterday. lol Thanks for the heads up though. If I do check it out I'll be swinging it by a parts house to do a code scan.
What are the details on the one you've got anyway? Are you going to do an engine swap or part it?

I put it to him like this:
$500 for the car
$2k plus incidentals for the engine
+labor
and you have car that you could spend a few hundred more and have one that runs and drives."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

I can swing by and lend you one of my scanners that does manufacturer specific DTC's. I have to go out to Jeff's sometime before Saturday.
Awesome dude, I'd really appreciate that.
